The singer-songwriter has released a truly catchy tune.
Open Road marks the latest single from British singer-songwriter Emily Faye and is the first taster of her upcoming new EP.
Recorded in Nashville earlier this year, she says about the single “Open Road is inspired by my parents’ adventures in their 1940’s VW Campervan, combined with how it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, when you are with someone you love there is nothing more you need.”
The video mirrors the song’s feel good sound and romantic attitude perfectly with the capturing of what looks like the perfect summer packed with travel, music and love.
Emily Faye’s journey into music and storytelling began in a back corner bedroom in a remote village deep in the English countryside. Her earliest musical influences came from the songs played on a mix tape made by her father, with the distinct voices of Stevie Nicks and Paula Cole paving the way for the captivating sound Emily creates and performs today.
With the help of her band mates and the relentless support of her family, Emily has successfully begun to make her mark within the ever-changing industry and is now in demand as one of the UK’s most exciting new country artists. Having recently traveled to the home of country music – Nashville, Tennessee – earlier this year to record her debut EP set for release early next year, Emily Faye is certainly a name to look out for.
