The Gaslight Anthem set to play Governors Ball Festival in June

It’s time to get that shortness of breath from excitement – because our favorite band are back and they’re playing New York’s Governors Ball from 1 – 3 June.

New Jersey’s The Gaslight Anthem have been confirmed for the festival as their first show after the announcement of their hiatus in Augsut 2015. And what’s even better, the band will be performing their classic breakthrough album The ’59 Sound in full for its tenth anniversary. No other shows have been officially confirmed but Brian Fallon just shared this:

So here’s to hoping there’ll be a tenth anniversary tour, including Europe. Pretty please?

The ’59 Sound was released in 2008 and put the New Jersey punks on the map with their unique sound.

Ahead of the Governors Ball, frontman Brian Fallon will be hitting the road with his upcoming second solo release Sleepwalkers, set for release on 9 February.

The full Governors Ball line-up includes Eminem, Jack White, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, N.E.R.D., Dirty Projectors, Manchester Orchestra, Japandroids, The Menzingers, and more. Looking good there, might just warrant a trip to New York in June.
